Seeing Double

It's pretty common for cartoonists to come up with similar or even identical ideas.  It happens quite a bit actually.  It's a little more rare to have the same idea and have them run on the same day - which is what happened for tomorrow (or today 12/7/12, depending on when you're reading this).  My comic and Glenn McCoy's "The Flying McCoy's" panel both have a panel depicting The Grinch waiting to use a porta potty with a caption that plays on the line from the original television special, … [Read more...]

As of today, that's how long Argyle Sweater has been in syndication.  Yep,  3 years ago today, The Argyle Sweater was born into the domain of newsprint. Who knows? But I know this:  PUNS OF STEEL, The Argyle Sweater's newest collection of comics is now available online and in … [Read more...]

The Best Part of Waking Up

is actually waking up - if you're Charlie Sheen. Yeah, considering Chuck's reputation, it was no surprise that he was back in the news recently.  As various news outlets reported, after a hearty night of partying (which allegedly included, you guessed it - porn stars and cocaine) Charlie was rushed to the E.R.  He was quickly released from the hospital and is now, reportedly, undergoing in-home treatment. Now, you're probably asking yourself two things:  "Scott, how do you get such … [Read more...]

Of the thousands of entries in the Argyle Sweater Caption Contest, a winner has been selected! Before announcing the top 6 along with the winner, I'd like to thank everyone who entered. There were tons of great captions and it was incredibly difficult to pick just one. However, I think the winning caption has three … [Read more...]
